Romanian Ceremony Customs

A bridal is one of the few times when romanian citizens really go all out and dress up. Fancy fits for males, dresses and gowns for women and attired locks and thorough nails are all the standard. The celebration is also a time to bring items of funds and presents for the bride and groom, which they collect as they leave the church and supper greeting.

After the pie is served a special boogie known as “hora” is performed. The wife and all female romanian brides visitors start to dancing. People is add but they have to compensate a small sum of money and the collected amount goes to the bride.

Close to the end of the wedding welcome a history is performed whereby the couple’s aunt takes off the bridal shroud. The bride is supposed to fail and ‘ duel’ against it ( three times at least ) and then she is lastly allowed to take off the blanket. This is to represent the move from a child to a married lady who will take care of her husband and future babies.

If you are invited to a romanian marriage you can expect a really much nights of dancing and feeding. It is not unexpected for the group to last up to 10 periods and there are usually 4 programs plus dessert. It is very important to wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of dancing and a lot of food and drinks served. There may be special events during the party too such as the one woman who catches the bridal bouquet and the single guy who catches the garter.
